Tiebreaking Procedures
At the conclusion of a pool, the pool finish positions of the teams are determined by their pool match record. TexasFest will only play off any tie that eliminates teams from advancing to the gold bracket. Ties that do not eliminate a team from the gold bracket - pool play will be determined by match, set, point percentage. All two-way ties, regardless of advancing, will be determined by head-to-head. Playoff matches will be scheduled at the conclusion of pool play. All tiebreakers will be played one set to 25 points.
Tie Breaking Scenarios
1. For 3 teams tied in a pool with only 1 team advancing: all 3 teams participate in the tie breaker.
?         Set 1: the #2 seed will play the #3 seed (based on match, set, and point percentages), and the #1 seed officiates. The loser of set 1 will be 3rd in the pool and will officiate the next tie breaker set.
?         Set 2: the #1 seed will play the winner of set 1. The winner of set 2 will finish first in the pool and the loser will finish second in the pool.
2. For 3 teams tied in a pool with 2 teams advancing: the #1 seed (based on match, set, and point ratios) will finish 1st in the pool and will not have a playoff set.
?         Set 1: the # 2 seed will play the #3 seed with the #1 seed officiating. The winner of this set will finish second in the pool and the loser of this set will finish third in the pool.
*Should any team in a tie breaker scenario leave without performing the appropriate duty, they will forfeit their position in that tie breaker.
NOTE: All point differentials will be for the entire pool, not the head to head match
A tournament may choose to use point % in place of point differential.
If a team will be eliminated from the Championship division, there will be playoff sets
played (with the one exception of a two way tie). If they will not be eliminated, point
differential will be used to determine finishes.
All 4 team pools will play 2 out of 3 sets to 25, deciding set to 15, and all 3 team pools will play 3 sets to 25. No Cap.
All Bracket sets will be best 2 out of 3 sets. The first 2 to 25, the deciding set to 15.
All Times are approximate, the warm-up will start immediately after the previous match
Warm-ups will be 2 + 4 + 4 Serve within your 4 min.
Teams will be penalized 1 pt per min for missed officiating duties. (max penalty 1 set)
